Tea is definitely a good thing.

Morning all!

Off for a bit of scootering practise this morning, under the watchful eye of the instructor I did CBT with. Considering the last time I was on a scoot was June, I thought it would be a good idea to have a bit of practise before I get Monty tomorrow.

Hope you enjoy the ride!!
Not been on a scooter since Sardinia, a good few years ago, in my finest safety clothing.
And yes, it was T-shirt, shorts and shades

Hurrah! That was fun! Two hours of scootering, in traffic, on the A47.. glad I did the two hours, puts me in happy anticipation of tomorrow. Even though the sight of my vast acreage of bosum and bum attired in armoured Kevlar & Cordura is not my most attractive look...

Speaking of motorised two wheelers - I had a strange hankering over an old RD350 that I used to own today. Sold it at the end of the eighties and wished I had it back for some strange reason.

I don't think I'd get on with a motorbike. The average throttle controlled e-bike is a bit too exciting for me.... Although I'm modelling one in Issue One of Electric Bike Magazine. One of the volunteers at work told me today, he'd been flipping through a copy at the bike shop, and spotted me. Somewhat embarrassingly, the order of the reviews and number of pages means that I am actually the centrefold....

York Festival of Cycling tomorrow, and Sunday. Tomorrow I will be there for the morning, riding the Maximus round, picking up any recycling generated. Not a bad way to earn some lieu hours - I suspect I'll bump into a lot of mates along the way!

I have no desire to be on a *geared* motorcycle at all, but a simple 'twist & go' automatic scooter has turned out to be rather fun in my very limited experience.

A geared bike is quite fun too.
I still remember the Awsum Powah of my mighty Honda C70, and the equally awesome 180 mpg.
Happy days...

Evening all! Just in from a day at the Cycling Festival. Reckon I'll go back and hang out there a bit tomorrow too. Hopefully tomorrow there will be less torrential showers....

They'd got this huge air bag set up, and kids doing loop the loops and 360's onto it from a BMX ramp. Awesome! as I believe the young people say.

Tea?

Tea would be good.
'As the young people say'?? Shall I pass you your slippers and a pack of Werthers Originals??
You're never too old to play on a skatepark. Although it's best not to try on a Brommie.
Or so I've been told...

I know that here in the far west we are behind the times, but can you explain how we ended up about three weeks behind. My mother seems to think it is October in Coventry.

Yes, I know that it could be September in March.

The Tea that I am consuming does not appear to help with this conundrum.

Now this is not the "lie" thread Speicher. Just what are you consuming

Just polishing off my mega sized mug of T (it's a pint mug) and thinking about tomorrow's early start. I'm off on another 200km of hilly punishment. Asterton Bank features (1km of 25%) Bonkman is riding his Moulton   . He really is Bonkers - man.

Today I rescued an old Dawes from M-i-L's garage. It had been sitting in one position for so long that the chrome on the wheels was pitted nearest the floor and was shiny at 180 degrees to that. Some fettling and some WD40 later and it rides OK - except the left hand crank is bent. I have a potential new home for it so may do the decent thing and put another crank on.
