Afternoon/vening.

What a fabulous day here in parts rural. MrWC & I had the day out together (gasp!) and it's not often we do this. Went off up to Sunny Hunny to view the scooters old and new on display. Then we had a late lunch together at a little cafe on the way back. All very civilised and a rare event due to the copious hours MrWC works.

Sounds lovely. How's Monty?

I managed to wake up early, but then have a long lie-in/breakfast in bed/reading with a third mug of tea. Did some knitting, then went back to the Cycling Festival for the afternoon, helped a bit with the recycling, bought some cool backup LEDs, and went for a pint and a Chinese buffet...

Which nicely mirrored my breakfast of.... left over Chinese takeaway!

I now have Monty!

Pics please

Did my Audax yesterday  Managed to ride 0.5 km of the 25%. Stopped and let the tikker recover then rode the last 0.5km of 25%. That's better than last time when I walked 60% of it. :becool: The views were stunning too. And such a super sunny day.

I'm off now:hello: - Mrs 26x25 has decreed a holiday in Looe. I've tried to explain but not allowed to take my bike. Ah well, maybe I need a break:wacko:

Any tea on the go?

I'm knackered. I dunno what it was, just one of those days at work, we were all reduced to mumbling wrecks by the end of the day. Sometimes on a Monday we get all the rounds done quite early, and spend a couple of hours catching up with chores until hometime. This morning the boss said,"Right, I reckon we should go home when we've finished the rounds" (We'd all done a stint at the cycling festival over the weekend, so had earned some lieu time).

Then Steve came in with an abcess on his tooth, and went straight back off to get antibiotics, so we were a man down. Result, we finally finished only about half an hour before going home time. Best laid plans and all that!

It's that time of year. Children go back to school, and give each other new and interesting bugs. The parents catch it off the kids and spread it around at work. Soon the whole country is feeling run down and sniffly. xx(

I am just getting over the cold I had last week....

Better to have it now. I'm off for a 'restful' week visiting my sister and the boys next week! :hyper:

Bloody buggering arse-badgering Hollowtech bottom brackets!!!!!!!!!!!
All I'm trying to do is remove the ruddy bottom bracket so I can fit a new chainset. The thing has so far destroyed two crank pullers, including wedging part of a Park Tools one in the axle. That means I can't fit the splined undoing thingy in properly, and I can't get the ruddy BB out.
All fecking evening I've been doing this thing. Is it possible to remove the axle from a sealed BB by smashing it repeatedly with a big hammer?

No wonder you're fuming. Sounds nasty. Any chance of a LBS applying a bit of wellie to it to remove the offending item?

* provides soft items for TheDoctor to throw around the room and removes fragile items to a safer position *

Much to my shame, I threw the telephone (cordless) across the room last week, after the most frustratingly boring frustrated phone call, fortunately I threw it at the sofa.

There are times, when throwing things has a therapeutic effect.

*calms down a little*

I managed to get the BB tool in with a hammer (!) and I have borrowed a 3 foot long spanner to turn it with.
Either it'll come loose or I'll bend the frame. Either suits me...
