Hoorah!

I had a three egg scramble for dinner last night, being too tired and pressed to time to cook a 'real' dinner. (and having some eggs to use up)

Although as it turned out, the drink with Roger et al turned out to also involve a curry, so I had two dinners. Well, one and a half, I only ate half my curry, and have the rest for dinner tonight.

Time for some pancakes then

MrWC & I have just enjoyed scrambled eggs on toast for lunch. Eggs: The Laydeez's finest. Toast: homemade bread, 50% wholemeal flour, 50% white flour. Added sundried tomatoes, green & red peppers to the dough. Makes fabulous toast as a base for the scrambled eggs. YUMMY!

Have had a recipe that i (sort of) invented. Two rashers of bacon chopped up small and fried, then add in leeks/cabbage shredded and cook together until the veg is soft. All all this to mashed potato to make a huge bubble and squeak type lump. Yum!

Mmmmm! I've had leftover curry, but I'm almost hungry again!

As we're heading into the cold time, here's a tip for bubble and squeak at... yes, sorry, Christmas. If you have Brussels Sprouts and Chestnuts (a fab combo, and available frozen for the lazier person), they make fabulous B and S the next day. The chestnuts add a certain something.

I really should get on with some knitting!

Morning!

Visitors some time today - Mr & Mrs Gerry Attrick should be calling round some time today. So I've been baking. There's a pile of cheese & chive scones. Then there's a walnut cake & a St. Clement's cake. And some shortbread biccies.

Copious quantities of tea may well be consumed.

Mmmm, that all sounds good!

I need to have dinner soon, and then try to get a couple of hours sleep, before getting up for breakfast about 10pm, and meeting a posse of YACF night riders at the station at 11ish for a midnight start

Why do I do these things?

Feathery reintroductions underway!

As Anode's bum is completely healed.

Dolce & Chanelle separated from the flock & put into the original smaller run.
Coco, in single room accommodation of the emergency ark placed inside the main run, but without access to the main run.
Anode & Gabbana sharing the main run (Gabe is very laid back).

They'll be like this for a week.

Then I'll do a bit of a swap round, but making sure Anode always in the main run.

The Laydeez can all see each other, but physical contact is limited - and the bullies (Coco & Chanelle) split up.

Hopefully, by splitting the flock this way, the dynamic of the bullies is broken, and Anode should be able to reintegrate without being attacked within an inch of her life.

MrWC has put a saddle on my hybrid. I'm going to give that a go to see if I can manage it without killing my knees, as it has a Biopace chainset. It may help, it may not. But won't be able to tell until I get back on it. I'm not hopeful, as I could never tell any difference between the Biopace chainset & a 'normal' chainset.

Hope it goes well Waffles. Nothing quite like riding a bike IMHO.

Well - I'm back. Some walks over SW coastal path later. Wot a nice part of the world is Looe. Fairly busy still with holidayers but we did get the path to ourselves from Millendreath to Seaton and back. We also "found" the gardens at Heligan. Veg patch to die for..............
