Was that the Seaton that has a tram that goes to Colyton or a different Seaton. There might be lots of places called Seaton.

I have been tidying up in the garden and patio today. One of my Bottle brush cuttings is now growing very quickly and another one is showing signs of wanting to shoot. :smile: Is it too late to take more cuttings? They plantlets are outside but are sheltered from wind and rain. They are one of my favourite plants, but very expensive to buy and then I "lost" a big one in the bad winter earlier this year.

Hope it goes well Waffles. Nothing quite like riding a bike IMHO.

Well - I'm back. Some walks over SW coastal path later. Wot a nice part of the world is Looe. Fairly busy still with holidayers but we did get the path to ourselves from Millendreath to Seaton and back. We also "found" the gardens at Heligan. Veg patch to die for..............

Ta.

The walk sounds lovely.

Different Seaton I think Speicher. Very tiny little place where we were. Not a tram in sight. There be a Seaton near Workington too - just near where that bridge collapsed a little while ago.

As for cuttings - if you have the spare material - give them a go.

Can I take cuttings from an apple tree do you think? It's a Bramley and we don't have one but apple pie is :tongue: :tongue: :tongue:

I do not really know anything about cuttings at all. The Bottle Brush ones were done by taking bits off the big plant where there was new growth. I then cut the end at a sharp angle and pushed them into some compost. Out of twelve cuttings, two are growing, it was just guess work really.

The compost bin is going well, crumbling down nicely, with just a slight smell if the lid is off.

Tea anyone? Bit quiet in here. Would have been ideal place for me to have a sleep, except I actually had to go out and do stuff (work!) today.

I think yesterday is just catching up with me. If you get a string characters thus;

you'll know I've fallen asleep with my head on the keyboard.....

127 miles? Chapeau!!
That's further than I've ever done in a day.
I was utterly wrecked after a FNRttC, there's no way I'd ever consider a SMRbtDT.

Ah well if she's gone I'll just drink this myself :biggrin:

Been helping #2 daughter with her maffs today. Then out for a pedal wearing short sleeve jersey and shorts. Nearly end of September too. 2morrow I may go and do the Welsh Pass again - a 120 miler. :biggrin:

I ought to be painting and decorating.............:ohmy:

M-i-L went to the GP yesterday. Bit breathless. She was sent straight to Hospital and has been operated on and a pace maker fitted. Stunned at the speed of events. She's recovering now.

Ta TD - nice brew. Just back from my mega ride. 115 (s)miles. Have a good ride this evening and make sure you have one on me.

M-i-L is being picked up from Hospital as I type. Speed of these things is incredible - Diagnosed, operated on and released in less than 3 days.

Morning all!

Is it Thursday already? This week is fast disappearing from under me.

My shoulders still feel like wild horses have attempted to pull me apart by dragging on each arm. A recumbent is looking more and more attractive.

Tea's brewing, and I've got some pain au chocolat here as well.

<tempting voice>

Go on, you know you want to....

Seriously, it might be an answer. My knees might have hurt after Saturday, and I was tired, but the rest of me was absolutely fine. (Yes, 26x25, I did it on the trike...)

Plus, they are well cool!

Well, I'm sitting here watching Sis play with Max, who is the most adorable chilled out baby I've ever met - all smiles, and a slightly elfish grin at that. Oli is at nursery, being a genius, as always. He's been mostly lovely, although he's been a bit of a pickle today - the new nursery every day regime tires him out. I've got to decide if he's been good enough to get a present...
