It must be bad if you're graoning. That's even worse than groaning....

Yeah, did no-one drink any tea yesterday? I'm having a cup now, before I reheat some leftover stuffed marrow for dinner - marrow provided by my sister, a courgette that got away....

I know that effect  . So I no longer plant marrows - just courgettes

Feels pot

It's gone cold.

Holds kettle over the P+L forum.

There's that soon heats it up. You've just got to watch out for it boiling over.

Makes fresh brew.

Anyone for a nice soothing cuppa?

It was my washing up day at work. I was boiling the kettle for some hot water (the hot tap only works on sunny days) when my colleague Steve came in - he's the real tea junkie of the crew. We chatted, and then as the kettle boiled, I emptied it into the sink. His look of horror, thinking I'd put the kettle on and not made tea with it, was hilarious.

The boss had already made the tea, and the pot was brewing - Steve just hadn't noticed it...

Hey Hulver, how are the shoulders now?

Ok, you twisted my arm,

Oli's genius, as demonstrated by his attempt to help me with my shoelaces:

He's also a domestic god, seen here 'helping' with some jam tart making:

As for Max, this is the smiliest pic I have. Stupid Auntie Sue only had a camera for the first couple of days, due to dropping it on the patio... Anyway:

But this is my favourite. Do you ever wish you could get this involved with your dinner?

They still feel like they're dropping out of their sockets sometimes. I've not dared get back on the bike yet. This weekend I'll get out for a ride.

He looks like he's just about to tie a maiden to the railway tracks.

I thought this was the way to tie shoe laces.

Very often my shoe laces come un done and then I tie then up on one side. Admittedly on the left for the right shoe and vickey the other way round for the left shoe.

Hi All. Back at work now after my Hebridean tour. Jolly windy it was, up there. One or two smashing days, though.

What's all the news and gossip here, then?

Time for lunchtime Tea, isn't it?

Sometimes I have a cup of tea. It is a nice distraction and interruption to the day's proceedings, and it is very pleasant.

Sometimes I have a cup of tea and it doesn't really hit the spot. I wonder if a coffee, fruit juice, glass of water or a beer would have been better.

Sometimes, like yesterday afternoon, despite not really looking forward to it, despite not being in the mood, when you start drinking it, that cup/mug is the best thing that you have ever tasted. It quenches a thirst, tickles the taste buds in all the right places, and massages your mind, relieves stress, obliterates negative feelings and gives your heart a lift. Tea becomes the greatest drink ever created, and one thing that the UK can always be proud of.

Anyone else feel the same?

(OK, so tea is mostly experienced through the nose, but please ignore the science and concentrate on the poetry)
