As soon as I gave up, and made some hot choc with semi-skimmed milk, the water came back on. I have now filled some jugs and bottles with water in case it goes off again later.

Night Train- Have you ever explained the origin of your user name? It always makes me think of the Guns n Roses song.

Some people think it is this, which I quite like:

Sometimes this, which I do really like (major Al Stewatr fan here):

In reality it is less entertaining.

A Harley Davidson FSXTB Night Train. 1450cc 2002 model. My first and last bike which I bought new a week after passing my bike test. I sold it to fund my furniture workshop after having to pay for all the factory faults to be put right.

*Harley Davidson is a crap company and I do not recommend any of their products to anyone due to the lousy workmanship and non existant customer service in selling a dangerous bike to a customer and then refusing to warrenty the remedial work.
Other bike companies are also available, use them instead and avoid the HOG.

*I feel duty bound to have to say this each time I mention the company to ensure that people avoid them or buy at their own informed risk.

There is a lot of good Al Stewart songs out there. I've been a fan since the early 80s though he has been playing since the 60s.

Here's another I really like.
'Clifton In The Rain', it leads into 'Small Fruit Song' which is quite sweet.
Said the apple to the orange
I wanted you to come
Close to me and kiss me to the core

Then you might know me
Like no other orange
Has ever done before

I think I have now thawed out. It was so cold at the Resource Centre. :cold: Next week I will wear my thermals, and a much thicker pair of socks.

My colleague is diabetic, so I had to watch her eating those yummy snacks, sesame nutty bars. She offered me half a biscuit, but it is not really a good idea, to accept when that person is eating to keep up her sugar levels.

Fish and Ch*ps tonight, calculated to keep me on track with my points. I think I used up three thousand calories trying to keep warm today.

A special :hugs: for Night Train.

My sleep patterns are totally messed up this week, twice I have had an afternoon nap and woke up about 4 hours later
biggrin.gif
shift work is something I thought I would get used to but if anything it's getting more difficult as I get old(er
Drove into work again as I'm waking in the morning and am still shattered.

And I knew it was a mistake buying those Jaffa Cakes

I guessed you were still asleep. If you slept for four hours, it must be because you needed to.

About the Jaffa cakes, the truth is emerging now. ;) I thought you said they fell into your basket by themselves.

Was it three Jaffa cakes, or three packets of Jaffa cakes?

I don't envy you Pots.

Don't they say that shift work when swapping from nights to days is like jet lag...I don't know how you do it...sounds tough.

It's what really put me off becoming a paramedic - not off the cards but very off putting.

What's happened to jaffa cakes..I've just eaten my evening meal and onto cake...I'm very out of synch with normal sleeping patterns too!

tea?

Well it used to be a box of 3 packets if that makes sense
wacko.gif
it is now a box with 1 packet left

I only do early/late shift but the potential for night shift work has always been there, up to now I have fairly lucky and avoided it, just doing the odd week here and there.
You'd think after 16 years I'd be a bit used to it though?

Paramedic tt? That would be a great job, I see people in jobs like that and wish I'd tried a bit harder at school
biggrin.gif

ps Are Jaffa cakes a cake or a biscuit?

Good question, Potsy. I think they are cake, so they do not attract VAT.

26by25 will be along shortly to tell me that nothing "attracts" VAT.

So if you have already eaten two packets of Jaffa cakes, you have only got one packet left for the whole weekend then.

I am watching "Courage Under Fire", lots of gunfire, but you might have watched it lots of times already.

My Jaffa cake supplier is open 24 hours a day though

and they are on special offer
Seen it once a good few years ago, can't really remember it tbh, currently watching 'Oceans 13' that I recorded a few weeks ago, am trying to get some space back on the HDD, it is getting full with 2 series of 'Trueblood' and all of the new 'Shameless' series up to now.

I won't remind you of the ending then. Just in case you watch it again.

I will be going to bed when this finishes. Provided I can persuade the cats not to have skirmishes. There has been an exchange of fisticuffs, and some shouting. Tasha then attacked a cushion with gusto.

Oh dear. My 2 get on OK most of the time but do have the occasional 'hiss' at each other when their side of the cat bed (ie-me) is breached
rolleyes.gif
though they are usually grooming each other within minutes
biggrin.gif

Don't think it's worth me going to bed until at least 4am now, might just get up in time for the footie tomorrow (3pm)
