Next time you have a grope around, wait for me to shove up a bit first!

Have you been drinking again?

I have a lovely pair of troosers that need turning up an inch or two, bought them off the back of a lorry last year knowing they were slightly too long and too tight (waist) but intended to fix them and slim down a bit.
Still waiting for the slimming bit

Just seen a picture of Arch giving a rude gesture to the camera

If they were off the back of a lorry, I'd have thought they would be quite big around the waist!

NT, can I sit back down on the sofa now? Only it's Top Gear soon.

I am going back to my sewing. Been repairing various items of clothing today, and mending zips, etc. Now need to finish turning a collar!

Any repairs anyone needs?

I'll be doing some of that too.
I need to extend the depth of some of my trouser pockets to fit grown up hands.
What is it with pockets that are only finger deep?

Top Gear! Arghhh, where's the remote?:hyper:

Whose hands do you want to be able to fit in your pockets?

My own!

As a bloke I am duty bound to have at least two sets of keys and a pen or two in one pocket and a wallet, change and a mobile phone in the other pocket. Why do clothes manufacturers make men's trousers with women's sized pockets? Can't see the point.
It is hard enough to find pockets that are top entry and not side entry but I can't find the depth of pocket.

Also, side entry pockets? Everything falls out the moment you sit down! What's that all about?

Not into bumbags.

It is mainly when I have to wear 'proper' trousers for work and to to be presentable as opposed to jeans or 'workman' type trousers.
I can't seem to find much in the way of suit type trousers with pockets that open at the top so when I do find a pair I buy them and then lengthen the useless pocket to make them practical.

For everythgin else I have an Ikea rucksack, or three.

Good night Pots. :hello:

If your new trousies are only about one or two inches too long, I would suggest you wash them a couple of times, to allow for them shrinking a bit. I thought it was the fashion for them to be a smidgeon too long?

Fizzy's ashes are back.

They keep changing the containers.
Kat was in a woven wicker pouch. Nicely presented.
Maggott was in a plastic zip bag in a plain cardboard box.
Fizzy is in a cardboard tube that is like an Ajax carton!
ajax.jpg

The tube even has a perforatable end for scattering her ashes like a shake 'n' vac!

I will have to make her a box to fit it.

Yeah, that's not very classy is it?

I put a small portion of Tom's ashes* in the empty case of a Sturmey Archer hub gear, and BikePete helped me machine a base and lid for it, and I found a nice wooden box at a car boot sale that it would fit in. I was walking around with the empty hub in my hand, trying it an every box I saw, much to the bemusement of the stall holders...

*Not a cat, a person.

The container that came from the undertakers was nasty plastic, and shaped a little uncannily like a coffee jar...

The container my brother's ashes came in was copper coloured plastic version of the glass jars that sweets come in in old fashioned sweet shops.

It was heavier then I thought and I nearly dropped it when they handed it to me.

Tea would be good.
I'm not long in from my good deed for the day.
A friend on the MR2 forum was doing a paid repair job on another member's car and got stuck with refitting the cam belt. After a few phone calls for advice I was paid to drive up to Blackpool to sort it out for him.

I'm out of biscuits so your suggestives would be most welcome.
