My cat Oliver is buried in the garden under his favourite plant. He was wrapped up in his special towel, the one used to dry him if he came in very wet. He was run over at the age of about sixteen. His pelvis was too badly damaged to consider mending it.

I did not know that pets could be cremated. I think I would have preferred that, rather than trying to dig a very deep hole in the garden.

On a lighter note, yes please to the chocolate suggestives. At Weight Watchers today, I had lost two pounds since last Monday. :wahhey: Only a small amount, but they suggest a loss of one or two pounds a week is good. My clothes feel looser, possibly because I have lost inches before loosing weight.

On that mechanical recycled robotic Elephant, I like the idea of the different places to stand or sit. I think I would go to the top, like being in a low-flying air balloon.

Have a biscuit. Just the one, mind!

Negative calories?

Well, will power takes mental activity and a concious decision to make, and we all know that the brain is the most energy hungry organ in the body and so by making the decision to refuse a second biscuit some additional calories have been used up. The harder it is to refuse something the more calories are consumed in the process.

It's like buying reduced stuff. If you get a pounds worth of doughnuts for 50p, you've saved 50p, and the more you buy, the more you save.
And how fattening can something be if it's been reduced?

This *may* explain why my diet isn't going so well...

I could not totally exclude doughnuts from my diet. So Wednesday is Doughnut day, when one very large, very yummy doughnut is purchased from the Bakers. They are infinitely more yummy than any doughnut from Tescos etc. I admit to averting my eyes today from the fresh cream doughnuts, when I was purchasing the wholegrain bread.

Saturday is Chocolate Day when a small bar of chocolate is consumed.

Celery with lentils, and onions and carrots and five spice powder can be combined to make an excellent soup for lunch.

I agree, Night Train, that would appear to be a strategy that works. Which I why I was buying "proper" fresh baked bread, rather than the squishy bread in the sliced bread aisle of a supermarket. The baker's assistant will slice the bread in an electrical slicing machine, so that the slices are half an inch thick, approximately, you will know that I have not measured it. I can slice bread myself, but the slices tend to be rather on the thick side and fatter at one end than the other, which causes problems in the toaster.

Well good evening everybody.

I don't get much time to come on Cyclechat these days (or any forums) but its good to see the Tea thread is still going.
Currently nursing a Horlicks after a few vinos. Contemplating Speichers interpretation of the off side rule....
Bed soon.

I would be interested in your comments on my "interpretation" of the off-side rule. Not sure why you call it an "interpretation". I would call it an explanation. The position of the player in question is important, and people who do not play football might not realise why the rule is necessary. ;) I did not think it was a good idea to discuss this on the open forum, and Potsy is not prepared to discuss it. Nothing to do with my team beating his team.

I go for quantity not quality when it comes to doh-nuts, Tesco jam filled ones with loads of sugar on the top will do for me, and I get Tesco points too
