Many decades ago, I worked at J & J Cash. You might remember their name tapes. They also made lots of pictures, garment labels, bookmarks etc.

Did you have a good holiday?

Yes thank you, I did very little and ate too much. Perfect! Although I do need to shift some pounds...

Going back to work will be a bit of a shock to the system!

And yes, we had Cash's name tapes.

I've a feeling this will be very similar to a post I'll be making in a couple of weeks time

Have I missed where you went Arch? Any pics?

I'd like to know where Speicher is going, she teased me about it in another thread.

Tell us more

You could always follow the trail of doughnuts she leaves Hansel and Gretel style

Just a trip over the Pennines. I had a day out at Crosby, to see the statues

The industrial background is deceptive. The beach is great - really fine sand, plenty of room to walk along, even at high tide. Lots of jelly fish washed up for some reason. And just either side of high tide, a flotilla of ships coming into the Mersey docks. And the statues are very interesting, seeing them going out into the water, watching them disappear as the tide comes in.

Otherwise, I didn't do much that was very photo worthy!

I have had some wonderful holidays in the Lake District. I have stayed near Keswick, on the opposite side of the lake. Also at Bowness on Windermere. Not many trains, admittedly, but plenty of boats, and cafes.

Are you going in the school holidays?

I think I'm the only person in the world who has never been to the Lake District.

Tea? I'm going to take mine into the bath with me. And a book. It's been a very long day.

I think I might be going to Wengen ..... next year! By train, via Basel. As TVC has very kindly sent me the timetables. Also a wonderful hat - Tour de Suisse. If there is ever a Cycle Chat Tea Thread meet-up, look out for me in a red and white hat. :becool:

Excellent news, we went this this lot:

You can choose to travel by rail rather than by air, I worked out the whole package was about £200 cheaper than if I booked all the elements myself.
