At school I was the 100m and 200m sprint, 400m relay and long jump champion who competed for the school athletics team. I am still pretty quick over that range now, just not with a crutch.

If you're talking cycling then you have me there, I'm too busy admiring the view and listening to the mechanical noises to work out what will break next.

How can you admire the view when you're lying down

Definitely meant with the crutch, never been much of a runner, cross country at school was an excuse for a good walk

I've been at the St Nicks volunteer party this evening, and eaten far too much buffet.

Yes, I brought a few back. There was a lot of food left over!

Evening NT. How's the foot now?

My foot is still swollen and tight but less tender on the top and sides so I can get a slipper on and walk on my heal with one crutch helping to take the weight.
Makes it a bit easier to get up and down stairs now as I can sort of walk rather then hop all the way.


Wols do have small beaks but whatever it is that has eaten Potsy is big and black and has a huge mouth with vampire fangs.

The pub we went to last night didn't have much in the way of light bites but I was bloomin hungry so decided that if I was going to cycle home on a full stomach, I might as well tickle my taste buds and do it properly. Ended up with the most delicious Thai chicken stir fry with a beautifully spicy chilli sauce.

My friend Tom used to wear odd socks on principle. He enjoyed the reaction of other people. His girlfriend's mother, who couldn't cope with the idea, bought him one Christmas a set of Days of the Week socks. 7 pairs with a day printed on each. After that, he not only tried to always wear odd ones, but make sure he hadn't got the right day on either foot....

Slightly headachey, from looking at a screen all day. But it's Torchwood later!
