Bah to you on both counts!

 My apologies, I was not trying to say that you should not call him Posty. ;)

You can call him what you like. But please do not call him late for dinner!

I have just emailed West Somerset Railway to find out about volunteering for them. That will make my headshrinker happy. The Tornado is coming to visit the line for a few days at the end of August.

Ow! Ow! OW! Owowowowowowowowowowowowowowowo!

Effing wasps.

:B)

Lunchtime I got stung, and it still hurts.

And it's on the far side of my elbow, so I can't even inpsect it without a mirror.

As I may have mentioned: Ow.

Kisses Arch's elbow better and offers tea.

I went out on Granville today for a ride into Trafford Park. The industrial estate is scary! Artics and cars all charging about at 40+mph.

I decided against the roundabouts and right turns, opting to cross at the drop curbs instead. It got me to Toolstation to buy an 18mm drill bit to make holes for tapping out to M20x1.5.
On one of the roundabouts I saw a 21mm surface drive 1/2" socket in the middle of the road so I parked Granville and waited my chance before running out to rescue it for my tool box.

Thank you. Unless you're a secret elbow fetishist and talking advantage!;)

There's nothing like finding useful stuff! Just mind you watch out, crossing the road!

My arm is still sore. Funnily, the sore bit isn't where the sting was, but off to one side a bit. Someone at work wondered if it had hit a nerve or something. It's not an experiment I want to repeat.

Tea would be good, ta!

Arch, have you read the thread called "Start 'em young"? or something similar. There is an excellent video of a little boy, about four years old, on a cycle path in a wood.

It is in "Mountain Biking and Off-Road".

Lots of sympathy re: the wasp sting. I puff up like a balloon if they get me. One flew up my shorts last summer and stung me ... it's the only time in my life I've been grateful for my, well, sturdy thighs so it didn't get too high   I couldn't put any weight on that leg for a week though

Lovely ride out tonight to the pub, especially as it stopped raining and I think I saw the sun once or twice. S talked me into having sausage and mash. The return journey was slightly slower than it might have been! :mrpig:

yummm tea just gets better with age - I got out a packet of loose leaf indian tea that a friend had got me from her holidays probably about two and a half years ago - i drank it at the time and it was ok.

I've made a brew just now with it and it's really mellowed with age - almost a rose like hint to it.

Who wants a brew?
