Definitely worth celebrating potsy! Glad she's home safe.

Can see how the granary bread would make a difference in terms of stopping your munchies, but the goat's cheese is interesting - I suppose it's very rich and perhaps takes longer to digest.

Yes, it is interesting, and I am not sure how or why it works. I only have a very small amount, about a matchbox-sized piece, which may also be important.

Good news Potsy about your cat - that is worrying but glad she is back!

Sounds like you're making good progress Speich on the weight loss!

Just back from a trapeze class and been able to do a move that I've been frightened of for a long time! It's good to conquer something, whatever that something may be.

Evening all!

I was talking (well mostly listening) to an attendant chap in a museum today, and he mentioned that he started an apprenticeship in 1937. As he carried on, I did some maths, and realised that he must have been knocking on for 90! If you'd asked me to guess, I'd have said 70 tops... I hope I look as good at 90!

I don't suppose there's any of that pudding left over, is there....?

It is very worrying when pussy cats unexpectedly go walkabout. Pleased to hear she is safely home.

Thank you, It's good to have my little 'hot water bottle' back

Decided against a take out in the end, just about managed to stay within my calorie limit ;)

There is indeed some left.
Here's the recipe should anyone be interested (and have an emergency dietician on standby).
The dates can easily be swapped out for any dried fruit. Raisins work well.

My plan to cycle from Epernay to Bar-sur-Aube on the Brompton has undergone a few minor changes.
I'm now staying put in Epernay and doing day rides, and I'm taking the Carbon Uberbike, rather than the Brompton.
I'm now pondering what a major change would entail...

Needless to say, I decided not to take the Brommie after I'd ordered the Brompton touring pannier, which ain't cheap.
Means I'll have to do a tour on it some other time to justify the purchase
