Oh, I'll keep an eye open. Tuesday is our most likely Telegraph day, I reckon, so it's a timely tip!

I'm just about to watch 'Cut in Half' on Quest. They are cutting a Boeing 727 in half...

It has taken years of training to get my minions to make my tea the way I like it. Though there is still one chap who just cant get it right.
You sound just like Chuffy  He's a total teamadonna...to the point that he won't drink tea outside of Devon "because the water tastes funny"

I'm watching 'How it's Made', and they are doing clay water pipes.

The narrator just said that the pipe had a 'female' end, that fitted into the 'male' end.

I think he means that the other way about....

If he said "onto" then one would be forced to reassess any preconceptions regarding the fun factor in producing new clay water pipes.

Ahhhh, nowI knew I got all those logs in for something....

I've been to the GP this morning. Amoung the range of health issues was aching and sore feet. The pain is deep inside, in the bones.
The doctor told me to stay off my feet and rest them so 'No hill walking or marathons' he said.
I said it was ok as I mainly cycle instead of walking as it was easier.
He said I should take it easy there too so no hills.
I said I was a very light rider only about 20 miles at 10-12mph and he said 'No, I mean take it easy as in none of this long distance stuff.'!

I almost had an off too, on the Emmille this morning.
I was almost at the surgery and, while in primary, indicated right to pull over on the opposite pavement and a following car decided that it was a good time to overtake me before I delayed her further. I had to stand the bike on the front wheel on the centre line as she tried to get past. She failed to but as the bike landed I couldn't quite get feet down to balance as it is a bit too tall a bike anyway and ended up stuck on one leg with the bike saddle caught in my crotch and me hopping about trying to get my leg over.
A mum and some kids crossing the road burst out laughing and pointing at the 'silly man doing a jig in the middle of the road'.

I'm not laughing, honest.

I've not worked out the elevation data but I've just cycled up to Triscombe Stone and it's very steep. Just about to put the oven on for well-earned pizza. My legs feel surprisingly chirpy. I am worried. I think this means I'm closer to fit than unfit.

On the rare occasion I go to see my Doc, it always amazes me when he starts to give advice on losing a bit of weight, exercise etc. He's about 4 stone heavier than me and doesn't look like he's ever eaten a salad

Jo is fit? Sure it wasn't a tailwind? :hello:
