Well, Granville got a rinse and shake dry to dilute the salt from his North Sea stint.

I've been in the workshop and made a hand held mirror and an egg flipping see saw for the this year's panto. Only simple stuff but good to be making stuff again.

Tiddles needs a good clean but I think I will take him apart for that. It will be a good chance to give him a service before use.

Dear god, are you feeling alright?

We had the ultimate indignity today. Beryl ran out of juice while still a mile from home, so we had to be towed in by a 4x4...

Still we amused ourselves watching the water slopping about inside the offside indicator lens of the 4x4 as the hazards flashed....

Sizzling away in the background while I type is bubble n squeak accompanied by cold pork from yesterdays roast. Add some pickled onions (should make me faster in the morrow) some ome made chutney from last year, and in around five minutes time I shall be scoffing. Mouth is watering right now.

How on earth is one supposed to critique ones own methodology for their dissertation? Really struggling with this one. Page is flashing with just four words: Introduction, Strengths, Weaknesses and Conclusion.:cry:

It does seem a bit forward. I'd have thought the time to critique one's methodology would be after one had actually used it, and could see areas that could be improved...

That is what I'm thinking. I have been trying to do this assignment for over a week now. It's only 1000 words and due in on Thursday. I can't get my head around it as I have not used it yet and it hasn't been finalised. Have done a lot on my project proposal due in on Friday but not this.

What am I going to do?

Maybe the critique is to question, at this stage, the method itself as you see it. Other things you could have looked at given time/space/word count/etc.
It could be asking you to consider if you have looked at all the possible answers you might get and if your results might be skewed by other factors.

We used to ask students to critique design work while in progress through asking questions of their own work.
Does it meet all the criteria?
Is it weak in any areas?
Could some other options be incorporated?
Were there other avenues abandoned that might still have some relevance as the design continued?
Have you looked at them since?
Is it the 'best' solution? And by what/which critera do you judge it so?

I suppose one thing you might be able to say (and I've not had to do this myself, so might be wrong), is to say what you're not going to do, and give reasons - stuff you can't fit in because it's too much work, or on the edge of the topic, or just not practical. It shows you are aware of the limitations of youre project?

You might also think if there are any things you first thought you might include in the methodology, but decided not to before you finalised it, and why you left them out or changed your approach...

But I'm guessing a bit.
