It has been mentioned, in the past, about me having very strong hands.

Well, I was wondering if a pair of pliers would cut a bit of wire spring earlier.
It wouldn't but I did try....

Those pliers have been in use for about 30 years with no damage other then losing the grips.

Oh, I'm sorry but I looked for a moment, then saw it, and literally laughed out loud!

Does spinach feature strongly in your diet?

It is a thread about any old stuff you happen to think of, but I can see where your confusion would arise as when jo and potsy are about it is a thread all about FOOD :hungry: :mrpig:

Talking of which I have a bag of custard doughnuts, a chocolate swiss roll, a mcvities chocolate cake, a packet of scones and strawberry jam .............. which to eat first and in what order ........... decisions decisions .......... see what hanging out in here does to you :mrpig: :mrpig: :mrpig:

I like to think of it as a cafe within a cafe. Food and drink are mentioned a fair bit, along with any other nonsense you feel fits in.

Over on YACF, there is a thread entitled "A random thread for small things that don't really warrant a thread of their own", this is like that, only with more Tea.

Personally, I've just had spaghetti and meatballs, and now I'm going to have another cuppa and half a Twix I just found in my Brompton saddlebag.

I think it is all screw type bottle tops wot are being collected by Lush cosmetics in their shops. They would like them to be clean, and they are sent off to the peeps that make the black lush bottles. Recycled bottle tops are added to the mix and made into bottles, which are filled with shampooes (?) etc etc add infiniitum. Is there a Lush shop in York?

They also do a Shampoo bar. Which surprisingly is solid shampoo like soap, therefore not in a plastic bottle.

I found this out by searching for "furniture made from recycled bottle tops".:rolleyes::wacko::biggrin:

Oh no, does this mean I'm going to have to brave the god-awful pong that is the Lush shop in town to take in my bottle lids? xx(

I find all shops that sell smellies awful to be in or even to walk past. The stench is overpowering.

I still walk into department stores holding my breath as all the entrances seem to be around the purfume department. Thankfully they don't randomly spray people as they walk past.xx(

My sense of smell is overly acute.
Today, in my house, I could smell the soldering flux from a plumber working 4 houses away. My first reaction was to check my house for burning before I went outside and saw the plumber's van.

I've just seen a piece on Breakfast News, about the new Megabus sleeper service from London to Glasgow, which uses a coach with bunks on (Like the tour bus I've been to the SPEZI show on). There was a comparison of costs, with a caption that said "Megabus £40", and then one that came up and said "Night Train £75". Wow, that seems very cheap, for such a clever and useful person!

Talking of which, Happy Birthday NT!

:birthday:

:hugs:
