The nationality is one thing that's always puzzled me, but not one I've ever asked while I've been there for fear of offending someone.

As it's not part of Great Britain, and not part of the Republic, how would people answer if they were asked what their nationality was?

Is it Irish, or Northern Irish?
By Feck, you are asking the mother of all questions.....

If you want some 'entertainment' go ask in the political side of the forum.....

Come back to Norfolk and then you'll be so much more hill free ^_^

Don't be fooled by flatlands. I did the Flat out in the Fens Sportive from Peterborough a couple of years ago. Probably one of the hardest sportives I have done. Did the 112 mile event and rode the bike with the deep section wheels, the cross winds are a nightmare. Got in with a group and did a fairly fast time, but you get no rest, you cant stop pedalling and have a bit of a rest on a downhill as there aren't any.

Very touchy subject mate, best leaving it alone. I don't wish to offend @Blue and I think at a guess I know which way his thoughts will lie with this one, but I have a mate from Northern Ireland who if you asked him his nationality he would reply British and proud of it. But having said that he is also sensible and as a family man that grew up during the worst of the troubles he says you need common sense to prevail and there has to be give and take for the good of everyone.
