Good for boat building as well!It all depends on what you want it for. Green oak is good for buildings, but firewood would need around three years to dry enough for firewood.

It's one of the older models of pre-pay card meters. It's located outside below the living room window. Poor Hubster was out there, in the drizzle with a torch reading stuff of the meter for the nice chap on the phone.Smart Meter or the older type. I think a magnet has been near it for too long.
No tea! That's poor planning, you could have used sand in a bean tin as a stove.
Methinks a magnet was in very close proximity to it. Can also speed them up as well. Any growing materials in the house? It's one of the older models of pre-pay card meters. We have an electric kettle so we can make lots of tea, although I have just had a nice glass of wine.
A few plants in the fish tank and a chili pepper plant in the kitchen. That's all.Methinks a magnet was in very close proximity to it. Can also speed them up as well. Any growing materials in the house?

There are no magnets here, unless you count the little one on the front wheel of the Giant, but that's in the back bedroom. Nowhere near the meter. As far as I know, Ian didn't have anything parked on that side of the front garden.
Heaven knows. We only went in a few times before we moved in. One to see if we liked the look of it (It didn't stink that day), once to measure up and then on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday to take boxes to put in the spare room to save us a couple of van trips. I don't remember anything growing or seeing anything magnetic near the meter cupboard. Before you moved in!
When was Michael Fish on saying there is no hurricane on the way.
Limits are placed on the amount of oak trees that may be cut. One gets blown over people will snap it up.
1987 wasn't it. I have visions of a mad scramble for oak if a tree was to come down and bit like people in Cornwall if there is a shipwreck.
Mrs D may find her property overrun in the morning![]()
@172traindriver, I hope you don't come across one in the dark either.

Please be careful how you word things. Some on here may take it the wrong way entirely! Not a good idea if at speed, at least I had been warned about the large twig.
I would rather meet you in the dark![]()
Oak hunters, what else! But what with MrTD.
