Like you, my normal genre is rock. However, most Greek songs are love balads so it's a matter of learning what's available. That song is by a Folk/Rock band from Athens called Piks Laks. I learned a couple of their songs over there as they seemed a cut above the rest.

It is indeed hard to learn the songs and the gobsmacked type of reaction I got from the locals told me that they had never seen a tourist do such a thing before. Other tourists thought I was Cypriot and the Cypriots thought I either lived in Cyprus or was the son of a Greek exile living somewhere like Australia - I kid you not!

Overall I felt I got a great return on the effort I have put in while learning the language over the last year. I'm now well motivated to continue my studies.
