Hey, remember me?

Sorry to just disappear without saying goodbye, but we've suffered a couple of real tragedies in the family. In no particular order, my father in law had a major stroke, and my daughter was raped. Cycling and forums have all seemed a bit unimportant in the light of these life changing events, and I've pretty much given up on both. I'll probably come back to the forum in a few months time as life hopefully starts to find some sort of new normality. I haven't been on my bike for a couple of months, so you can see how life has changed for me.......... Both FIL & daughter are doing as well as can be expected.

Staying up tonight then?

Will be going to bed soon and then contacting you in the early hours hopefully. Something in the region of 04:15 I would imagine. But that is just an approximate guide if I have time.

Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.

Thought the house may now be taking over, hence nothing from you. Never expected anyone to come on here saying that I have to admit. Hope you and your family are getting over the worst of it. And whilst you may not be on here, I doubt there's many not asked themselves where you are.

Best of luck for the future, family first, Always.

That't awful Mike, hopefully things are being sorted out and you are trying to get things back together again. I hope the system helps you in both cases.

The system? Well the NHS has been brilliant with my FIL. There is no system that can help my daughter......just time, patience and love. It happened in Russia, where the police are so corrupt that reporting a crime means you've a chance of ending up in prison yourself, so the guy will get away with it, even though everyone knows who he is.

That thought must make the situation even more difficult for you and your family. But with you beside her I'm sure your daughter will find the strength she needs to carry on and get better.
