Second pilot this year to be caught for drink flying. Seperate companies though.
Previous escorted of the plane by police. Flying from Spain.

Obviously out in public. If he had failed to turn up for work, gone awol for his shift and it didn't come out I wonder how that would be.
Similar scenario on railways, never heard of anyone I know getting caught D&D.
You are subject to random drink and drug screening and if you have certain types of incident.

Believe the copilot refused to fly with him. And reported it.

Wonder what happened to the copilot! Would anyone fly/work with him after reporting it.

Don't suppose he would be the most popular guy afterwards, especially if the pilot was considered a good guy.
There have been a couple of incidents over the years of guards dropping the odd driver in it. Needless to say they don't have many friends even amongst their own ranks.

Know a coach driver that reported another for driving whilst drunk, and having a bottle alongside his seat.
Just after the two companies merged, with each side trying to prove who were the better drivers.
He didn't tell the company first though.

Not being funny, but you must be pretty thick to turn up for a job such as those discussed under the influence
