I think the weather forecasters spend a lot of the time guessing the long term forecast. Short term the science that they have available would assist them but even then they forecast the weather for tomorrow and it is not always right.
A point being last Tuesday when the forecast said dry with the possibility of some showers by the afternoon. We had only got 5 miles down the rain and it started to drizzle and it continued for the entire ride. That was not what they had forecast.
If I said anything it would be a pure guess, but I do hope we have a mild winter and it is over as quickly as possible and spring comes early.
