I have now transmogrified into the venerable @Bobby Mhor I see ..

Cracking mild night here so I took the chance and got 20 in then found mrs Mhor had bogged off and I had to make my own tea..

600ml includes custard, gravy, soup, tea, coffee, water, pasta/rice/cous cous (140g of 'wet food' = 100ml fluid), ice lollies everything. Dialysis is remorselessly unfunny.

Hubster is on dialysis for 4 hours and 30 minutes 3 times a week. They take about 400ml of blood out a minute, blood takes about 2 minutes to go around the machine - it goes through a filter thing that looks like a big car air filter - before going back in. Round and round and round it goes. Very dull and once he's plumbed in, he cannot really move about much. Netflix is his friend. Dialysis keeps him alive while he is waiting for a donated kidney. If he doesn't get one, he will die a good few years younger than if he didn't need a kidney. He might make 60. Then he might not. He's 50 now.

Wow Saluki, I knew that (it must not be good) but not the detail.

I truly feel for both of you in that situation.

Has your fella been difficult to match up with any doners ? or is it just the case that it is difficult to match anyone etc ?

anyway, as a hardened all year round cyclist, can you recommend a good brand/model of winter glove for road bike use ?

I have been looking at Gore Alp-X 2.0 on the net & Gore summaturuther but not sure if they might be a bit thick, MTB style.
