2nd alarm chosen, 1st alarm went at 05.10, 2nd at 05.20.

Was up at 2 a.m as well, outside checking the shed was locked, woke up thinking about it.

Nearly forgot.........saw my first ever snake this morning. Was so taken aback I just went "Oooooooo" and carried on. Lol.

Didn't have the phone with me to take a pic anyway. From recollection it was about 18 inches long and brown with bits of black so thinking maybe an adder??

I'm jealous. Adders have a black diamond pattern running their length, it would have been warming itself up in the very unusual temperatures were experiencing. I've rescued a slow worm once (legless lizard) off a road before it got squished, but your Adder trumps that nae bother

Worth a try is the old fishing,its not expensive if your just a fun angler..very good for clearing the mind on a nice day. Cycling works too..
