Day One of the KNITTING MARATHON.
I hope to replicate, in a small way, the amazing effect that was created by thousands of small knitted cycle jerseys that made Harrogate look absolutely amazing at the Grand Depart last summer.
This no mean task is in honour to the organising committee of the Tour of Britain who have now realised there is a huge country beyond Hadrian's Wall, which at the moment, is still part of the UK.
I say Day One but actually I started last night but because I cant read a simple knitting pattern I had to unravel and start again today.

There will be those who suggest that doing another 4k to make it a round 100 would be nice, to them I say 'bugger off, I only just made it because that's how far away the B&B was, another 20 metres and I would have been calling for help to get me there...
