Cut a long story short I'm going on secondment to work on a Macmillan project for the next year - back to my old stomping ground at the Western General.

That's really good, MacMillan as in the Cancer specialist nurses ?

We had a lot of very appreciated help from them for my Old man when he & we needed it.

We had a lot of very appreciated help from them for my Old man when he & we needed it.

Yup, working on a project for care of cancer patients post-treatment - I'm not clinical but my work should free up the clinicians to do what they do best and use their time with patients, not spreadsheets.

Yeah, bit daunting but I've been working on the project on and off for a year anyway - full time now though. It's a chance to PM a project and lead on something, will prove useful for Uni work too, just a bit worried I'm taking on too much but hey ho, it's where I wanted to be and what I wanted to do so just need to get on with it and not moan.

Why not get on with it & moan simultaneously, that way you can prove beyond doubt that us geezers are great at multi-tasking
