yep probably - but they promptly speak to me because everyone wants to what breed he is, how old he is, if he is friendly etc and the really awkward ones complain he's not on a lead. like a lead is going to stop a 14 stone dog when the dog walker is only 10 stone... but tbh a lead would stop him because he is so well behaved as will a strong NO or move (that's a command I have taught him along with me pointing to where I want him to move to - usually to get him out of the way of cyclists, but he is now working this one out and if they come at him fast, he moves out of the way automatically, its when they slow down he tries to walk across their path to say hello!)

Can you put a saddle on him?

sadly not, he had an embolism on his spine as a puppy which lead to him being dumped and rescued. so he is partially paralysed... but in the fields where he lives there used to be a miniature Shetland pony and the two of them would often stand together, sadly we never got the photo but Dusty is basically bigger than the Shetland pony was!

Only mentioned the saddle as a woman who lived near me had two of them. She often rode side saddle on part of the trip/walk to the shops.
