Well, it's String and I don't really feel that inclined to make a huge effort with it. I've joked that my Cliffs of Dover is so ropey that Eric Johnson would turn in his grave, if he were dead so, if I play Roxanne as badly, I might do the world a favour and kill String off entirely.
To be fair, I've only had Roxanne for a couple of hours, a good hour of which I've been online and half an hour of the time, I was driving home so I can't really expect it to be any good quite yet. Although, I am picking stuff up a lot faster.

Good enough to play Roxanne really badly and send String off to an early grave
I don't really want Roxanne to learn but I've got bored with Fives, it's not my cup of tea really. Anyhow, I can't play at that sort of speed.

I have multiple hand and wrist injuries. A lifetime of riding and working with horses. Then working with dogs, has taken a toll on my hands and I have nerve damage. My right wrist is a nightmare and I have no pick speed at all. I was left handed until I broke my elbow and I have limited feeling in my left hand but learning guitar has been the best physio I could have had.
I was, and still am, a good rider. 10-12 hours a day in the saddle, sorting out rogues of the racecourse and selling them on has resulted in some spectacular falls and some nasty breaks. I'm 50 and paying for them now. I've been grooming full time, with no proper horse work for 12 years but it's all caught up with me.
I can't change chord smoothly enough for a rhythmn player but I'm not too shoddy a lead player as Iong as I have plenty of practice time to get a good run up at it. I can play Battleship Chains all the way through. I told 'Teach' this and he nearly fell of his chair laughing. 2 whole chords, whoop-de-doop
I've been wrestling with the 'Groomer or Guitarist' decision for a few months now. Hubster calls it "Daddy or Chips". He keeps repeating it when my wrist is playing up. Chatting with Leigh tonight about it, I told him that I hate it when he's right. Not only because Leigh is a bloke but because he's 12 and how very dare he be right. Definitely Chips. I'm having another client cull, starting with that bloody Labradoodle (she paid up BTW). Still sacked her. I've gone through my books and crossed a bunch off the list. Actually I'm thinking of just changing my phone number and done with and then telling only the walking customers.
I'm a crap player but, less grooming so less aches = more good quality practice and improvement.
