My brother tells me it is snowing where he is, so despite growing up on the Pennines, having lived in the south for so very long (he's on holiday in the Pennines) he rang me to check it wasn't snowing here as well because he didn't want to drive that far in the snow! So I'm still getting invaded both this morning and this afternoon! (Parents this afternoon!)...

And my gp has decided they want a review.... I told him I wasn't going anywhere so any time next week was fine... But they have to come to me... It will be Tuesday or Wednesday... Not sure which yet!

In putting the bins out on my return last night I somehow ended up sprawled on the road surrounded by the contents of the recycling bin. When I came back inside, after clearing it up rather unsteadily, my fingers were the recipients of a good few gravel rashes. My elbow was also throbbing. I decided that this was probably a good time to go to bed now.
This morning I look like I've had a fight and my wedding ring finger is about three times it's normal size.
On the up side getting the empty bins in this morning has passed without incident and I am gradually getting coffee into the alcohol system.
