Any dates fixed yet?I just replaced the 4GB SD card in my Canon Ixus 125 camera with a 32GB one. Now it has heaps more capacity for images and videos, which will be useful during a certain week in September.![]()
I'll probably be flying there on Thursday 10th Sep, and the tour starts on Saturday 12th. Then the tour finishes on Saturday 19th, and I plan to fly home on Monday 21st. So a day or so at each end to recuperate.Any dates fixed yet?
Not yet. Take it its fairly flat round near you though.I'll probably be flying there on Thursday 10th Sep, and the tour starts on Saturday 12th. Then the tour finishes on Saturday 19th, and I plan to fly home on Monday 21st. So a day or so at each end to recuperate.
Have you seen the tour presentation I linked to? So many lovely mountains to see, I just can't wait!
No, I live in a fairly hilly suburb of Melbourne. It's at 160m elevation, with numerous grades over 10% and even some over 20%. Mt Dandenong (elev. 630m) is less than 15km away, and Mt Donna Buang (elev. 1260m) is about 60km away, so I've ridden up both several times. Not yet. Take it its fairly flat round near you though.
Will that last part appear in your signature, when completed? No, I live in a fairly hilly suburb of Melbourne. It's at 160m elevation, with numerous grades over 10% and even some over 20%. This 1 week tour will include 800km of riding with about 21,000m climbing, though, including a total of 18 mountains. On day 4 of 7, we ride up Mont Ventoux by the 3 major routes, a feat which gives you membership of the Club des Cinglés du Mont-Ventoux (aka "madmen of Mont Ventoux").![]()
