Quick dog walk before I head over to visit my folks. Quite a few cyclists out and about now that the temperature has lifted slightly. Saw a guy blowing his tyre up with a teeny mini pump and offered to go back and get my track pump but he said he was fine.
I met gazillions of them on the B788 out of Greenock..
I saw two groups turning back off side roads..
The 'big roads' are okay.. side roads and cycle track a no-no..

It's OK, Bob's just tuning his bagpipes...

Leave my chanter alone

"However, the use of bagpipes was restricted to rear areas by the time of the Second World War by the British Army..."
.
.. as they found the soldiers moved forward faster to get away from the din...
It worked, didn't it?

Yes it did. I was once cycling along a old railway line path down here on a sunny summers day and came across the sound of a man playing pipes, didn't see him but got a kind of doppler effect as I passed him. Very odd I thought, surreal. Apparently, talking to some fellow cyclists I met on the way he was often out there somewhere, wasn't allowed to practise at home.

When we first moved here circa '81 (1981, just in case)..
the lilt would drift from just up the back..
It would be pretty noisy being next door...

I remember the one who frequented Glencoe in the late '70s ..
obviously every tour bus stopped, the Yanks literally drooled over him and his 'tips' must have been a tidy sum...
and yes, his kilt would get lifted on occasion:whistle:( by females)

welsh dragon

Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.
I am not a happy person. My patience reached the end sometime on saturday evening. Do not say anything to me, do not make sarky snotty comment, dont try to be funny or a smart arse about any subject for the next week at least.

2 kindle fire phones being sent back, as o2 is complete crap here even though theyre website says that signal strength here is good. It's shite, non existent and o2 themselves are rubbish and dont help.

Then my printer stops working, and my son in laws printer isn't working and its almost impossoble to find a telephone number for amazon. Clearly they dont want people to contact them. I finally managed to find a number, and they now have to send me more emails regarding the items I want returned. These in turn will alert the appropriate team, who will send me the labels I need to return the item. What a load of rubbish. Ive wasted 3 days of my life and very nearly threw the phones, and my printer through the window. I think its time to lie down I a dark room for a while. Bloody hell, if I had a cigarette now I'd smoke it. Its a good job I don't have any to hand.

Afternoon peeps, by the way. :hello: wheres me coffee:cuppa:. Crap, wheres the whiskey.
