They are officially known as "Some Lumps, No Real Hills" according to the CC Ecosse rule book.

Arran is one massive hill

Morning everyone.

Late on today after a rough night. My wrist is letting me know that it exists just lately. Doc is referring me back to the consultant person. I think that it's a waste of the consultant's time as I very much doubt that technology has jumped on in the last 3 years and that there is now something that can be done except for fusing the darned thing. I don't really want to waste the consultant's time as I am sure that she has a lot more important stuff to get on with and I'll just take someone's slot up.

On the up side, the knee is totally fine today. Normal and springy and strong. Just about to walk the dogs.

While I'm here. Does anyone know if you can freeze sponge cake? I've been given a load of mini muffins (american type muffins, not proper English ones) and I wonder if they will freeze. I can't see why not but I thought that I would ask some cake experts.

A sponge cake won't freeze fast enough in a home freezer, for it to be anything other than a mess when defrosted.
Thanks.

I shall do an experiment with them, I think. After all, they are not even proper muffins and they were free. I only have some muffinage to lose and if they do sacrifice their little cakey lives in the attempt, it will keep the fat bits on me smaller than they would be.
