To get yourself into a position where you're able to be a director you surely can't be that stupid?

He must realise that the sponsors are only buying advertising space, and if there are no fans who are they going to sell their products to?

It's fans going into the ground, or watching on TV, that keep the sponsorship money rolling in.
It would be rather hilarious if the fans decided that they were fed up with being afterthoughts and stayed home. I wonder how well the teams would perform if there were empty stands around them while they played a match. Never going to happen, I know, but the ticket prices are daft now and it seems that the team management don't give a stuff about them.

I have sky, but I dont have sky sports. To be honest its not just sky who are to blame, its the clubs themselves. Not content with getting an estimated 10 million for each game broadcast, they are getting huge amounts in sponsorship deals. They also change the kit like some people change they're underwear. They do everything they can to rip the fans off, then there is the amount of money they charge for entrance fees. How hard working people can afford to go to a game these days is beyond me. Sky and the football clubs deserve each other.
BT has the football not sky.

I thought it was a collaboration between sky and BT. I could be wrong though. I normally am.
I've Sky Sports, but if I want to watch the football, I've to pay extra to BT.
