Orangenis part of EE now. My old phone is orange. MR WD has that now
No, they only operate the Orange network within the UK. They took over T-Mobile, with EE as the UK parent company for all three.

Phillipe McAllister, Vice President, General Counsel of Orange. Sent a complaint letter to his address in Switzerland once. I don't think he was pleased.

Be fun when BT take over the running of a company they tried to put out of business next year though.
So cynical head on reads this as they didn't manage to put them out of business, thus making the network really cheap, so had to buy them properly.

EE[edit]Swear filter won't allow!
Main article: EE Limited
Orange and Deutsche Telekom merged their UK businesses in 2010 to form a joint venture branded as EE.[60]In January 2014 Deutsche Telekom and Orange confirmed their intention to continue operating EE under its existing joint venture structure rather than floating an initital public offering (IPO) as previously speculated.[61]It was announced in December, 2014 that talks were being held with the BT Group in the possible acquisition of EE for an estimated £12.5bn. [62] On the 5th February it was announced that the BT Group will be acquiring EE in a £12.5bn deal, which will see Orange S.A take a 4% stake in the BT Group. It is expected that the deal will be completed by March 2016. [63]

You pold enough to remember BTCellnet?
Lost their licence to operate a mobile phone company in June 2001. same order prevents them operating any such company for 15 years. Which is why I await next year, when they take control.
