BTCellnet ceased to exist after the court order. O2 simply bought the remains of a company that had been closed.

My kindle fire was O2. If it's partnered with orange and I can get orange signal here, why couldn't I get a signal with O2?

Its not, O2 is a seperate company. Got confusing when Telefonica got brought into the subject

No, they only operate the Orange network within the UK. They took over T-Mobile, with EE as the UK parent company for all three.

Phillipe McAllister, Vice President, General Counsel of Orange. Sent a complaint letter to his address in Switzerland once. I don't think he was pleased.
