The site where I was working used to be the site of the Yeovil Town railway station, it was closed in the 1960s along with a direct rail link to Taunton, a road bridge crossing the site is the only piece of railway infrastructure left.

The 2 stations, Pen Mill and Junction are a bit out the town aren't they?
A mate went to Yeovil's football ground and said he ended up getting a taxi

The site where I was working used to be the site of the Yeovil Town railway station, it was closed in the 1960s along with a direct rail link to Taunton, a road bridge crossing the site is the only piece of railway infrastructure left. Yeovil is still served by the railway, two separate lines cross there but no passenger services use the line between them. The West of England main line is a mostly single line between Exeter, Salisbury and London Victoria Station. The other line is the heart of wessex line, also mostly a single line between Westbury Wiltshire and Weymouth on the south coast.
