Home again. Thank God!
What a dog of a day. Great bike ride, I loved every single second of it. Brilliant walk with the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, watching squirrels in the park and then Hubster and I got dragged around the park by a Labradoodle that we used to walk a lot but this is his first walk with us since September time.
Then we groomed him.
The remit was 'just a trim'.
Hmmm.
It took 2 hours to de-knot and dry this dog and then another hour and a half to style him as he was getting well fed up. That's not including at least 25 minutes for 3 shampoos and a condition as he was filthy. We used half a bottle of leave in conditioner trying to get those knots out. It seems that he was not as well brushed as we were led to believe. I am absolutely cream crackered. He looked amazing when I had sorted him out though.
Once home we grabbed our dogs and took them for a walk before sitting down for a cuppa as we knew that once we had sat down, that we wouldn't want to go out again. We would have, as the dogs need and deserve their walk but we went before a cuppa. Lovely lovely evening out. I quite fancied another ride but knew that I'd get to the end of the road and decide that I was shattered.
I have a lovely cup of unleaded coffee, bean chilli simmering on the hob. Very happy now
