I just built a C/C++ cross-compiler, built to run on Linux and generate Windows PE32 executables, because I needed to be able to build Windows 32-bit DLLs using a Linux PC. I then ran it on a real example, and it works perfectly. Beware, and keep your distance from me, lest my geekiness overwhelm you. 
A very satisfying Friday at work. Hopefully I won't think about all this too much while riding home, as I prefer to just enjoy the ride, not solve technical problems in my head while riding.
