I have just spent 2 hours trying to get amazon fire tv to work. apparently people are having trouble getting it to connect to the internet if you have a BThome hub4 or 5. MR WD did the manly thing and just kept putting the bt password in even though it wasnt working. And he did mention that some people had had trouble with the same thing. So i went onto the internet and found the answer. Apparently there is a smart set up wizzard with the bt hub. Whenever you have a new gadget that can wirelessly connect to the internet, the smart set up, will sort it all out, but it wont work with the fire tv, so you have to turn off the smart set up on the bt website. And to find where you need to go is like looking for a needle in a haystack.

so there i am trying to find my way to the place that turns it off, while Mr WD contiues to pull faces, make huffing and puffing noises and continues to input the password. give me strength. Anyhow, I found It, turned it off, and hey presto it works. I need coffee NOW

Its a man thing....obviously. when men reach a certain age they shouldn't be allowed to do certain things. Doing anything with the internet is one of them. have a snooze dear.
