Morning all.

Think today might be one of those days... Took a fall last night just after I had propped up my crutches to go to bed. Went to turn the overhead light off and somehow ended up on the floor. Hurting badly this morning. So far the pregabalin, morphine, codeine, paracetamol and heat pad combined still haven't cleared the pain! Will give the next dose of morphine a chance at 10 am and if by lunch life is not much better, I think it will be emergency Dr time (only other option is a&e by ambulance but the logistics of getting me home again are interesting to say the least with me not being able to sit up).

Crap it hurts...
That's awful @SatNavSaysStraightOn

can't begin to understand that level of pain/discomfort but hope things improve for you soon.

Sounds like this might be a life long condition for you, although I admit I haven't looked up the conditions you described previously.

I noticed from your photo posted that your bedroom looks very small & quite awkward, that doorway & eaves being a dead giveaway.

Without prying (& hopefully not causing offence) if you own your home, would you not be better off selling up & moving to a bungalow with more space (especially if falling is an issue) ?

Or, if a Council tenant maybe get a move to a more suitable property if this is possible, or even move from private to council property (if that is the case) on grounds of disability etc.

Of course I may be barking up the wrong tree completely (or even just barking mad).

I know a little of the general area you live & it is a lovely place to live.

Anyways, take care. :okay:

we are private tenants. I am working on getting the equivalent of Disability living allowance, now known by the acronym PIP... can't remember what that standard for but I don't hold out much hope.
woken this morning with pins and needles in my right foot and a definite loss of sensation. the pins and needles had cleared after the op back in December and the sensation issues had gone away in the right foot as well. the fact that they are back tells me it is definitely getting worse again and it was not my imagination with the right leg getting heavier and harder to control. mind you the increase in pain was also not my imagination and the cramping being so bad last week I had to get my meds tripled also confirmed this.. but the house is an issue and long term, if I remain like this then yes it is going to be a problem as is the fact that my head and depression don't allow me to live in a town or city. even a village is hard for me and I get very depressed. finding anything suitable could be very difficult. One long term solution if things remain like this is to drop to a single bed and accept that my OH won't be sleeping with me anymore, get the back bedroom converted to a sensible room so he can sleep in it - currently it has 5 bikes in it and is a storage area for tents, sleeping bags, duvets and everything else that won't fit in our home. The sad fact is that with his wage, it is difficult to find anywhere we can afford that is rural despite the fact he is on a good wage. I don't have a job and unless I can get PIP and then start getting some benefits we are stuck. but we'll deal with that as and when we know what is happening with me. Until I can actually sit up rather than have to spend my day lying down, there is little point in considering life and what it holds for both of us.

Well done............afraid it was just a dog walk for me.

I'm no oil painting and I hate my picture taken but I tried a selfie with the new phone on my walk.................don't laugh

Excuse the wrinkles and grey hair. Honest answers..........do I look 55 or 105?

If your spirit, soul & heart is young, you stay young, we all become just "more distinguished" myself included. :okay:

There was some sportive that passed through here this morning, felt very odd to be going the opposite way to about 3/400 cyclists stretched out over a two mile section.
Feet up with a :cuppa: Now.
Nice one Brian :okay:

I didn't know you could post comments on Strava until I opened the link.

My planned Garmin purchase is on hold now until some more important/dull things are paid for.

Then I might jump in on the Strava thing, but only to show where I have been rather than the Strava Segment chaser type thing (not into competing any more). :okay:

Morning all . Was full of good intentsions this morning getting back out on bike but decided instead to hijack my grandson and take him out for a long walk in his pram before i start work at 2pm. Grandson v bike , theres only gonna be one winner. Weather supposed to "heat up" a bit midweekish. We will wait and see.

I'm getting my trike on Wednesday. :wahhey:

Now I am going to have to do come baking on my fasting day tomorrow!
