Days like this I am glad I am not still working. Remember a few white knuckle drives coming home from night shifts in deep snow.

Cocks and hens crow at anytime... The actual dawn chorus is a specific event just before and around dawn (and dusk) involving non-domesticated birds!

Started around half five here.
Took over from the owl on the roof.

Thought about going back to bed for an hour but no point as I don't sleep and I just get a sore back and hips lying too long. Oh well, wellies or boots for my walk? Boots I think. I don't find my wellies very good for walking any more than short distances. No doubt the pooch will enjoy the snow.
