Uninstall it. Never heard of a virus on Android yet, except scares from people who sell Virus Checking software funnily enough.
Accepting apps from 'other sources' is just a tick box in the settings, under 'Security' if memory serves.
Amazon doesn't sound amazing...

I know. I may well uninstall the virus checker, but it also looks as the battery health, and any apps running in the background, and gets rid of rubbish, and deletes caches of stuff not used. Settings gone into, fixed and everything is aok now,

Ive been adding new apps to my tablet. I have amazon prime, and i have fire tv, but it isn't available to watch things on my tablet. But by downoading the amazon instant video for phones, i have been able to do it. But I have had to turn off some of my security settings as I have downloaded the app from the amazon store, and as an android, my tablet doesn't like accepting apps from sources other than google.

It appears to be working now. So fingers crossed it will continue to work. Plus my virus checker doesnt like accepting anything. Everything is working(touch wood) for now. Evening folks. Hope your all well.

When I first had an Android phone this sort of stuff was a necessity, today though the operating system software seems to have licked most of these things. Battery optimisation figures and background apps being 'stopped' make the app look like it's doing loads each time you run it but the processes just start up again until next time you do it anyway. Honestly, I uninstalled, the battery lasts longer and I haven't missed it.

Wouldn't last as long if you turned it on though!
