Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.
Err, no.
For some reason, don't ask, I don't know why, but having had the Yorkshire pudding cooked but not risen last week on a 2 egg mixture, he decided a 3 egg mixture was needed this week. So with them having started to rise and still looking anaemic took them out of the oven and served them this week after they had been in the oven for the same time. Needless to say the result was that I picked at what was cooked and left the semi cooked like warm mess that was the rest. The instructions clearly say a 1 egg mixture does 4 small puddings, do why he thought a 3 egg mixture would work for 2 pudding bowls that had less volume than 2 lots of 4 time is just beyond me. He had it right LST week, I just don't think the oil was hot enough and they were not left in long enough on the 2 egg cooked version he did last week.

I don't think he gets that the oil is meant to be spitting hot and the Yorkshire pudding tops just starting to burn or at least be dark brown... Can't say anything at the moment because he is really tired and down. I think he is beginning to realise I may not be going to get better than I am now and right now that's not great.

His birthday cards were meet with less than enthusiasm and I got a weak thank you for the present. It's hard on both of us. Just writing this is making me cry again.

Im thinking of you SNSSO :hugs:

Morning peeps..
been twirling my knobs early this morning (don't be so mucky, missus)
Debating a walk, no:bicycle:as the ride to Scroggy Bank yesterday burnt them oot:rolleyes:

have a nice day, ye hear!

Finally found out why he is down in the dumps. We usually are on holiday in Scotland as @Mo1959 knows all to well at this time of year... obviously because of me we are not, but he doesn't want to say anything in case I take it the wrong way... so is just really down and depressed. Not helped by family giving him cards with mountains and bikes on them... but he won't talk to me about it so instead literally says nothing to me, as in not talking to me full stop...

He came for a ride with me - a very slow ride with me this morning. He has tomorrow off work to use a few days annual leave up, so is currently planning on going for a muddy bike ride around delamere forest. If he actually does is another matter.... still his mood seemed to improved slightly whilst we were out - perhaps it was all the people I said hello to whom he then felt compelled to say hello to as well or may be the fact it was sunny at the middle half of the Whitegate Way whereas at out end it isn't! I have been escorted back to bed and installed under no circumstances to leave! And he is now looking at my trike yet again after I have explained the workings of a rear derailleur (yet again) and how it should be set up on a Rohloff hub when it is being used as a chain tensioner... lets just say if he could have gotten it wrong, he did it as well as he could have done  not sure why he thought there was a cable attached to it if he was to leave the screw clamping the cable down undone but he did! Needless to say, it didn't work... but I do now have a solution for holding my crutches onto the trike and he is doing the other side of me as we speak (hopefully!) It is a painful process and I suspect I will have to discretely modify it and adjust the derailleur on Tuesday when he is at work!

I'm just hoping he hasn't found the tea thread on CC...

This is bound to be hard on you both, as someone who cared for someone it can be really frustrating being on that side - I'm sure not as frustrated as you feel however!

Doesn't sound like he has much spare time for blasting out himself, hopefully tomorrow will help to lift his mood.
