I took matey to the south of the island again. There is a monastery called Cura at a place called Randa.
I went there the other day on my own. You can see it from miles away on the south of the island, a big rocky lump over 1500 feet with what looks like a golf ball on it. It is something to do with the air traffic control system I think.
Anyway we got 91 miles in and he was hanging on to my back wheel all the way back. The climb is basically half distance to the top.
I have hit 1,008 miles in total now.
Chuffed with that.

That was another hailstorm come through. not nice out today down here in Cheshire. We have been having hailstorms and rain since the early hours (4:30am when my OH got me up so he can travel to Glasgow - this time he still has his jacket and mobile phone which is a bonus) and it hasn't really stopped hailing or raining since then. I think we have had one brief period of sunshine but not long enough to actually register it and get outside. I will be passing on this morning's bike ride. perhaps later if the weather clears up a touch more!
