One day I will consider 14 miles a pootle. At the moment my longest is 9 and we had a break in the middle. I have a goal though. Next year I want to have a go at this.

Go for it

What's worse is the guff about how healthy it is on the description... I give you...

1 2 3 for a healthy balance

1 Eat Healthily

Snacks can be enjoyed as part of a balanced diet of carbohydrates, fat, protein and fibre, including plenty of fruit and vegetables.

Get to know your Guideline Daily Amounts (GDAs) and see how much of your daily allowance each Cake provides.

2 Keep Active

3 Enjoy the Taste

Twaddle. I wonder how much E475: Polyglycerol esters of fatty acids, Polyglycerol fatty acid esters, Glyceran fatty acid esters are allowed in your GDA's.

I went out for a little pootle this evening, just a 23k circuit around the block to shake down the hybrid with the panniers on it and check nothing was falling off, rattling or squeaking. My choice of route needed someone to slap me with something and shout 'No' though... 352 metres climbing... In English that's 14 miles, 1,140 ft.

When I tried to get upstairs to shower and change I discovered that my knees were also dead and the rest of my legs weren't too happy either..

Oh dear, shame about the knees and legs . Beautiful evening for riding tonight, went out with some of the lads from the local bike shop for their regular Thursday evening ride, fairly quick ride but back before dark and a good work out.

Other issues and health have got in the way of my riding this year so far so I felt it a lot more than I otherwise would..
Use it or lose it they reckon..I've lost 80% of it I think, although that was a lot better than before anyway when I wasn't riding or even walking...
