Anything really. Think of those tools for picking items of the floor using a magnet. The more expensive ones are stronger.

Fire service hounded him out. On holiday in America one year he saw some "odd" methods being used to fight fires over there. Came back here, demonstrated them to the top brass, who liked them because they actually worked. Same one later got rid of him.

Next time you see a petrol powered fan being used to blow air into a building, over here, it was him that brought the first unit back from the US of A.

It never ceases to amaze me what people come up with. I nicked a Mars bar once from Woolies, I was about 12. The next day, I bought one, and put that one and the one I nicked back on the shelf!

The boy has his friend staying tonight so they are upstairs on the PS3 and there is much laughter - it's great to hear after all the boy has been through over the years - I really never thought I'd see the day that he had a friend, never mind one who stays over and who just 'gets' him.
