Morning all:hello:
I wonder if it will snow today
Have a nice day, ya all hear:okay:

By 'eck..
in my day:rolleyes:
you open the window and just called to someone to shout and tell your intended contact what your message was..
It worked even streets away..
Noisy mind you:laugh:
(for some obscure reason families tended to get housing in the next street to each other)

Afternoon Bobby

Outside loo?
Field behind the house. Hoping to avoid nettles at night.

My granny had an outside loo. Can't remember if the toilet roll was old newspapers or that scratchy paper. Lol.

She also did a washing in a boiler then took it out to the shed and put it through a mangle.......no spin dryers.

So did mine.

Do you mean Izal toilet roll, the stuff that's made from the same kind of paper that old school bibles were made from?

Your Granny!! All of that's what I started with when growing up. I was in my early teens before life, and toilet paper, got a bit softer!!
