That sounds good. Haven't had porridge for ages. Mind you, afraid I just make the microwave stuff but it's still nice, especially on a morning like this.

I microwave mine..
1/2 cup Lidl oats
1 cup mix water and milk..
2 mins 30 on 850w..
add some milk
voila..

Haven't had porridge for ages.

I really wish I liked the flavour of porridge. My mother use to make porridge for us when I was young. There use to be tears however as I was was made to eat it even though I thought there was bits of wood in it. Has put me off forever. Talking to folk since I discovered that she didnt cook it long enough.
I love a good flapjack though.

On the "upside" I met a lot of family, friends and cousins I haven't seen for years. A lot of Sunday dinner plans are being made for the future. That, I'm sure would please mum.
