Stopped twice very quickly - once for a gel and once to fill my bottle. Cramped up after about 55 miles, need to investigate why that happens...

I often consider just doing Audax instead but I need the motivation of having booked an "event" to train for.

We're in Royan, just over 53% of the route done.. fairly punishing 85k over the salt marshes and mussel beds just south of La Rochelle, headwind of 20kmh.
Nigel had spicy food withdrawal so we went out for a curry.

Yes, thanks. Some hard work being super domestique to non-cyclists of course but much adventure. Not much internet though!
