Good afternoon folks. I went for a bimble today as the weather is going to be dreadful for the next god knows how many days. 18 miles done. Nearly run over by an old lady reversing out of a parking space at the Dr's surgery ( at least i wouldn't have had far to go if she had hit me) and then a DPD driver nearly ran me off the road as i was cycling up the lane towards my home. He came round the corner Towards me, and had no intention of slowing down. I ended up nearly pushed into a hedge, and with my ankle all scratched due to my pedals. Grrrrrr.

I hope everyone is having a better day.
Roads are full of nutters out there,
them big poncy 4x4s are the worst in the back roads I use.
All is well though, Ms.
I whacked my shin with the pedal ages ago and the marks still there:sad:

Changed my mind and headed to a slightly lower hill,
boy, it was a bit murky at times and the bloody midges had a feast when the wind dropped, I was glad I had my midge net for my bonce but my legs and arms, whoa.
The view at its best

You can just make out Loch Lomond,
a grand day, radio wise it was quiet.
Legs okay so far,
(dreading the morrow)

Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.

Totally agree about the t###s in the 4x4's.
Bit of a case of I have a £50k motor so I own the road. I heard a funny tale about a big headed bloke that I know of telling someone else I know all about his new £90k Range Rover.
Other friend quick as a flash replies "they are womens cars".
Put him on back foot  and he then retorts I have also bought a 2nd hand Jag with flip top roof.
This got me thinking about the drivers of 4x4's and looking at who was driving them on the way home from work.
Without wanting to upset people, but I do think he was right and it appears more are driven by women.
Do they really need them or is a statement saying we think ourselves rich?

Ah yes, Scottish midges. I recall a climbing holiday in the area west of Fort William when we had to wear nets hanging from wide brim hats when walking from camp to the nearest pub of an evening. A bit like this guy
