I've just got back from the hospital after visiting my mum. She really is quite unwell......carted in by ambulance last night, with blood pressure of 230 over something big, and some major internal bleeding going on somewhere. She also has a massive infection that has resisted 2 bouts of antibiotics, including one lot of intravenous weapons-grade stuff. The ward nurses wouldn't let me take any flowers in (infection control). Helluva mother's day for her.

Thanks, WD. Appreciated. Yeah, it's not looking great at the moment. There's talk of an operation.........she's 84 with Mesothelioma (the asbestos cancer) and a weak heart. Really weak heart. I can't see that going well.

Ok all ? My day consisted of me and my OH taking grandson out in the pram this morning....then the purchase of rotary dryer whirrey thing was made and erected ...and washing machine behaving itself...so only the gas bill to sort now.....good times....

That's horrible. Its annoying how they ban flowers these days. I hope things get better for her soon.

I don't know...they came from a charity shop! Lots of the best earrings do.... but they do look and feel as if they are made from flotsam (or is it jetsam?).
